In addition, another important custom of Dragon Boat festival is to hang wormwood at the door. Every lunar May is the begin of hot summer, and there will be a lot of mosquitoes and pest infesting people. The smell of wormwood is able to drive away mosquitoes and pest and protect people from them. So, hanging the wormwood at the door during Dragon Boat festival also means getting rid of the diseases and bad luck.
