Holiday Notice of 2022 Ching Ming Festival

Ching Ming Festival is a traditional festival of Chinese nation, which was originated from the Cold food festival of the Spring and Autumn Period. It’s a festival for remember Jie Zitui, a nobleman of the state of Jin (modern Shanxi). In Tang dynasty, considering so many wealthy citizens held too many extravagant ceremonies for remembering their ancestors, emperor Xuanzong of Tang declared that such ceremony only can be allowed in the period of Ching Ming of per year. After that, most of people will held a worship in this period. Until now, it has existed in the Chinese life over 1200 years. And was formalized as a public holiday in 2008.
