How to Turn on or Turn off the DHCP of SP8330 Thermal Printer

Sunany SP8330 thermal printer supports DHCP settings if your SP8330 thermal printer version is 28, April 2021 and later. The methods of how to turn on / off DHCP are as below:

1. Obtain the network address:

Operation: Open the paper compartment cover and press the FEED button (about 1s) in the power-on state, then close paper compartment cover.

Effect: The printer prints out the current network parameters.

Note: Please make sure that the printer is connected to the network normally, and there is a roller of paper when you close the paper compartment cover. Kindly note that the printer is static IP by default after we getting the IP address.

2.Turn on the DHCP:

Operation: In the power-off state, open the paper compartment cover, press the FEED button to turn on the power until the lights flash alternately. Next, release the FEED button first, and press FEED button 3 times continuously. Finally, close the paper compartment cover.

Effect: The printer turns on the DHCP function.

Note: Please make sure there is paper when you close the paper compartment cover.

3. Turn off the DHCP:

Operation: In the power-off state, open the paper compartment cover, press the FEED button to turn on the power until the lights flash alternately. Next, release the FEED button first, and press FEED button 4 times continuously. Finally, close the paper compartment cover.

Effect: The printer turns off the DHCP function.

Note: Please make sure there is a roller of paper when you close the paper compartment cover

Tip: You can do a self-print test, and check the state of DHCP after the test result is printed out.
