The Main Differences Between Android Processors QCS6125 and RK3568

February 2, 2025

Qualcomm QCS6125 and Rockchip RK3568 are both system-on-chips (SoCs) designed for various embedded and IoT applications. They are popular in the smart retail POS industry for their performance and high reliability. As a manufacturer with extensive experience in the smart retail POS industry, Sunany’s latest E-series Android POS hardware solution will use these two processor models. Let’s take a look at the differences between these two processors.

1. In terms of performance, RK3568 uses a quad-core Cortex-A55 architecture with a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz, and its performance is relatively low; QCS6125 uses a Kryo 260 CPU with a main frequency of 2.0 GHz, and its performance is stronger than RK3568.

2. In terms of graphics processing capabilities, Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL, and Vulkan, and can handle advanced graphics tasks, while RK3568 mainly handles some simple graphics, so QCS6125 has an advantage in graphics-intensive tasks.

3. In terms of storage and expansion, RK3568 provides more diverse storage options and PCIe channels, making it more flexible for applications that require large amounts of storage or expansion capabilities.

4. In terms of connectivity, QCS6125 is an X12 LTE modem that supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Although RK3568 also supports wireless connection, its connection capability and speed are lower than those of QCS6125.

5. In terms of display support, RK3568 supports higher-resolution displays (up to 4K), which may be beneficial for AndroidPOS hardwares that need to play high-definition pictures and videos.

6. In terms of power efficiency, QCS6125’s 11nm process can effectively reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs while ensuring performance compared to RK3568’s 22nm process.

In conclusion, QCS6125 has shown obvious advantages in processing power, graphics performance, connectivity, and power efficiency. Android POS hardware based on the QCS6125 processor may be more suitable for complex usage environments. However, Android POS hardware based on the RK3568 processor can also meet the needs of most of our retail users. According to Sunany’s listing plan, we will first launch the E-series Android POS hardware solution based on the RK3568 processor in March.
