The Print Density of The Recepit Printer is too Light

Cause of issue:

1. The print head was soiled. After a long time working or using the thermal printer in dirty environments, it’s easy to soil the print head. As we all know, thermal printers work by heating the print head, if it was soiled, the print density must be lighter.

2. The print density is light by default setting. Due to the printing content and language being different, sometimes, the print density by default might not meet every client’s requirements.

3. The coating of thermal paper was faded. Thermal paper to print the font by a heat-sensitive discoloration layer on the paper. With the long-term storage and exposure in the air, the coating of thermal paper is easy to fade. It will cause the printing font color to become light.

Elimination method:

1. Clean the print head regularly and reasonably. Disconnect the power supply first. When the print head became cooled, use alcohol cotton to wipe the print head carefully, don’t touch the hot area. Use an anti-static pad to prevent static electricity from damaging the print head.

3. Replace the thermal paper. To avoid this issue happening again, kindly store it reasonably and use the thermal paper at a valid time.
