When you want to install the POS machine or touch screen monitor on the wall or on a specific mount, you have to mention the word VESA. The VESA standard is a standard for attaching flat screens, LCD, monitors or televisions to mounts.
Depending on the size and weight of the screen, at least four threads or holes are defined. With the VESA standard, you can attach your POS machine or monitor to a mount for the wall, the table or the ceiling. The prerequisite is that both the POS machine or monitor and the mount have the same VESA standards.
The VESA Standards are divided into VESA classifications, the so-called MIS (Mounting Interface Standard). The most common are VESA MIS-D, VESA MIS-E and VESA MIS-F.
VESA MIS-D is suitable for monitors up to a weight of 14kg, the hole pattern of is 75×75 or 100×100 mm, it is also the most common VESA standard, which is usually the standard for POS machines and monitors on the market.
VESA MIS-E is suitable for monitors up to a weight of 22.7kg, the hole pattern of is 200×100 or 200×200 mm, suitable to large-screen display devices such as televisions.
VESA MIS-F is suitable for monitors up to a weight of 113.6kg, There are usually 6 threaded holes on the back of the screens under VESA MIS-F standard, suitable for larger display equipments.
